Principle of ignition coil:
The auto ignition coil is actually the car ignition coil. The simple explanation of the ignition coil is to allow the spark plug to “generate sparks” to ignite the parts of the mixed gas in the cylinder.A transformer that is actually responsible for converting the low-voltage current of the vehicle into high-voltage electricity.Normally, each cylinder is equipped with a set of ignition coils. The ignition coils are generally replaced at a distance of 100,000 kilometres or more.
When and why should you replace ignition coils?
Ignition coils would fail due to age, overuse or simply manufacture defects. The material can crack or melt due to the heat from the electrical terminals. Replace your ignition coils as soon as your car starts showing signs of misfire, the engine check light appears or if your vehicle manual suggest that you replace them after a period of time. The symptoms of defective coils depends on the car in question. It could be a misfire, backfiring, burnt gasoline smell, or starting issues when your “Check Engine Light” turns on. This will appear on the dashboard as a CEL. Prolonged engine misfire will destroy the catalytic converter and can lead to engine detonation. When replacing ignition coils it is best to have them replaced all at once. Keep in mind that if one of the coils goes defective, then the others are probably going to be defective in the near future. The number of ignition coils in the car depends on the car engine, model and year. Do not assume all vehicles are the same.
A faulty coil could cause major performance and structural issues for your vehicle, so if are experiencing any of the below symptoms, that means you need to check your coils emmidiately

How to Change an Ignition Coil?
Part1: Disconnect the old coil
Disconnect your battery’s negative terminal
Locate the ignition coil to be replaced.
Label the cables running into the coil, if there are multiple than one.
Release the clip on the plug running into the side of coil.
Part 2: Swapping in the coil
Use a wrench to unscrew the bolts holding the original coil in place.
Extract original coil from the engine bay.
Prior to installation, compare the coil to the old one
Orient the coil in the same direction
Part 3: Activate the ignition coil
Insert the bolts to hold the coil in place.
Connect the plug into the side coil.
Plug in ignition cables according to the order written on them.
Reconnect the battery.
Start the vehicle to test the coil.
